For electricians

You are on a job with the power off. Your phone is ringing again.

Half your work needs the right details captured before you go anywhere: what type of property, owner or landlord, what certificate they actually need. Adminmate asks all of it, then books it.

Sound familiar?

  • Board off, gloves on, phone going in your pocket where you cannot reach it.
  • Ringing back three people at the end of the day, by which time two have booked someone else.
  • A landlord wants an EICR by Friday and you find out the details when you arrive.
  • The certificate work and the paperwork stack up on a Sunday night.

Call in progress
  1. AdminmateHello, Kowalski Electrical, this is Marek's assistant. How can I help?
  2. CallerI need an electrical safety certificate for a rental property.
  3. AdminmateNo problem, that's an EICR. Is it for a new tenancy, or is your current one coming up for renewal?
  4. CallerNew tenants moving in the 12th.
  5. AdminmateRight, so we want it done comfortably before then. What sort of property is it, and how many bedrooms?
  6. CallerA three bed semi, in Caerphilly.
  7. AdminmateAnd will you be there to let Marek in, or is there a key with an agent?
  8. CallerThe agent has keys.
  9. AdminmateThat's everything he needs. Marek has Tuesday morning or Wednesday afternoon free next week. Which suits?
  10. CallerTuesday, please.

Certificate type, property, deadline and access all captured, booked for Tuesday, and Marek never put his tools down.

This is an example call, not a recording of one. Our public demo line opens with our first customers, and we would rather show you the script than print a number that rings out.

What it does for electricians

  • Asks the questions that decide the job: owner or landlord, what certificate, what property.
  • Sorts access before the visit, so you are not stood outside waiting for an agent.
  • Prices consumer units, EV chargers and fault call-outs off your own rate card.
  • Gets the certificate work invoiced and chased instead of sat in the van.

What the missed ones cost you

A fault call-out is around £150, a consumer unit £900, a full rewire £4,000 and up. One missed rewire is a year of this.

Questions electricians ask

Will it get the certificate details right?

It asks whether it is a landlord or an owner, what is needed and by when, and it records the answers. It does not decide what certificate is legally required: that is your call, and it gets you the facts to make it.

What about emergency call-outs?

Anything involving burning smells, sparking or water near electrics is treated as urgent: the caller gets told what to do and to make it safe, and you are told immediately rather than at the end of the day.

Can it quote a rewire?

It drafts from your rate card and, for anything that needs seeing, books a visit instead of guessing. A rewire quoted blind over the phone is a rewire you regret.
